CITY CENTER. In 1916, this museum opened to exhibit various representations of 20th century art. In 1936, the Gestapo forced the establishment to close. It wasn't until 1948 that the doors could re-open to the public. The gallery is now located in the former Goseriede Baths. It contains numerous displays that cover over five thousand years of European history. Ancient Roman glassware, ancient Egyptian relics, and antique coins are included in the diverse exhibits.
